Apple Fails To Merge Patent Suits Against Nokia, HTC

Law360, New York (December 07, 2010, 4:56 PM ET) -- A federal judge has declined to combine four cases in Apple Inc.'s epic patent dispute with Nokia Corp. and HTC Corp.

In an order Monday, Chief Judge Gregory M. Sleet of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware rejected Apple’s motion to consolidate four cases currently before the court, two between Apple and Nokia over smartphones and two between Apple and HTC over personal data devices.
