Dewey Reps AGL Resources In $2.4B Nicor Buy

Law360, New York (December 7, 2010, 8:45 PM EST) -- Natural gas distributor AGL Resources Inc. announced Tuesday that it would purchase competitor Nicor Inc. for $2.4 billion in cash and equity, likely propelling the combined entity into the ranks of Fortune 500 companies.

Atlanta-based AGL will pay $53 per share to Nicor stockholders — $21.20 in cash and .838 shares of AGL common stock.
