ITA Issues Final Duty Of 26% On Vietnamese Shrimp

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 4:43 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has imposed a Vietnam-wide margin of 25.76 percent on frozen warmwater shrimp as part of a sunset review, saying that revoking an anti-dumping duty order on the product would lead to dumping of the shrimp in the U.S. market.

But 28 Vietnamese exporters in the multibillion-dollar global industry escaped the countrywide rate and were handed anti-dumping duty markups ranging from 4.30 percent to 5.24 percent, the Commerce's International Trade Administration said Tuesday in a Federal Register notice.
