Ex-First Security VP Gets 5 Years In $5M Fraud Case

Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 12:50 PM EST) -- A former vice president of Chicago area-based First Security Trust and Savings Bank has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for changing the terms on customer loans, a scheme that cost the bank $5.1 million, authorities said.

Jeffrey Gonsiewski, 56, of Wood Dale, Ill., was sentenced to 63 months in prison Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, according to the office of U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald.
