Law360, New York (December 08, 2010, 6:08 PM ET) -- A federal judge has tossed two suits and nixed strict liability and negligence claims from six other cases in multidistrict litigation accusing Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. of failing to warn patients that bone cancer drugs Aredia and Zometa could cause their jawbones to deteriorate.
Judge Todd J. Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee issued a slew of orders Tuesday on Novartis' motions for summary judgment in eight separate product liability cases consolidated in the MDL for pretrial purposes.
