Northrop Grumman Ends False Claim Probe For $5M

Law360, New York (December 9, 2010, 2:45 PM EST) -- Northrop Grumman Corp. has agreed to pay $5.21 million to settle allegations that it misled the U.S. Air Force on the test results of a paint system the defense contractor had developed for the B-2 bomber program.

The settlement resolves allegations raised during a government investigation that Northrop Grumman violated the federal False Claims Act, according to the agreement announced Wednesday by U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Andre Birotte Jr.
