Issa To Head House Oversight Committee

Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has been selected to chair the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in the next session of Congress as Republicans prepare to flex their political muscle and put new heat on the Obama administration.

Issa, who has served the last two years as the committee's ranking Republican, will replace outgoing Chairman Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., when Republicans take control of the House in January, party leaders announced Wednesday.
