Patent Holder's Lawyer Loses Bid For Sanctions Stay

Law360, New York (March 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Counsel for a litigious patent-holding company has lost a bid for a stay on sanctions imposed by a court in its failed infringement claim against a mortgage lender.

New York-based law firm Zimmerman, Levi & Korsinsky had asked the Federal Circuit appeals court to show mercy, claiming it would face financial ruin if forced to cough up the $141,984 legal costs of Flagstar Bancorp Inc.
