Army Agrees To Clean Jet Fuel Spill At NY Base

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 6:00 PM EST) -- The U.S. Army agreed to clean up environmental contamination from nearly 500,000 gallons of spilled jet fuel at Fort Drum, located about 80 miles north of Syracuse, N.Y., according to court papers filed Friday.

The Army reached the deal with the New York State Department of Environmental Protection, which asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York to sign off on the agreement.
