Miss. Court Tosses $2M Welding Rod Injury Award

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 3:49 PM EST) -- The Mississippi Supreme Court has overturned a $1.86 million jury verdict in favor of a welder who claimed metal rods manufactured by The Lincoln Electric Co. and ESAB Group Inc. caused his magnesium-related neurological disease, citing an earlier decision that addressed whether the statute of limitations begins to run on the discovery of an injury.
