Obama Signs School Lunch Reform Law

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 7:24 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama signed into law Monday a bill that will overhaul the nutritional standards for food served in schools, marking the most significant changes to the U.S. school lunch program since the Carter administration.

As expected, the president put his signature to the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which adds six cents per meal to school lunch budgets and empowers the U.S. Department of Agriculture to enforce nutritional standards on all foods available on campus during school hours.
