France Raises Red Flag Over Google Ad Dominance

Law360, New York (December 14, 2010, 6:16 PM EST) -- France's antitrust watchdog on Tuesday raised concerns over Google's dominance of the country's online search engine advertising market, saying the Web giant could be subject to sanctions if it misuses its immense market power.

According to the Competition Authority, Google might be guilty of exclusionary conduct intended to discourage, delay or eliminate competitors, imposing exorbitant conditions on its partners and customers and refusing to be transparent in contractual relations.
