Citgo Settles Cement Maker's Suit Over La. Oil Spill

Law360, New York (December 15, 2010, 5:59 PM ET) -- Citgo Petroleum Corp. has settled a negligence suit brought by cement maker Dunham-Price Group LLC over a 2006 spill that poured 71,000 barrels of oil from a Lake Charles, La., refinery into the water, resulting in the closure of a key shipping route.

No details about the settlement, reached Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana in the form of a 60-day dismissal notice, were made public, and requests for comment were not immediately returned Wednesday.
