Level 3 Wants Conditions On Comcast-NBC Deal

Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 4:53 PM ET) -- In the midst of its growing content-delivery dispute with Comcast Corp., Level 3 Communications LLC has asked the Federal Communications Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice to put conditions on Comcast's proposed merger with NBC Universal Inc.

In a letter sent late Thursday to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski and Assistant U.S. Attorney General Christine Varney, Level 3 argued that Comcast is unfairly trying to leverage access to its subscribers to start charging Level 3 for delivering content requested by Comcast subscribers.
