Garmin Didn't Infringe GPS Patents, ITC Judge Says

Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 6:17 PM EST) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge has sided with Garmin Corp. in an investigation prompted by a complaint from Pioneer Corp. that alleged the GPS device maker's navigation products infringed three patents.

The judge's initial determination, which is still subject to review by the ITC, found that Garmin's products did not infringe any of the three Pioneer patents at issue in the investigation, according to a statement from Garmin on Thursday.
