Ford Loses Bid To Reclaim $2.6M In Harbor Taxes

Law360, New York (December 17, 2010, 4:08 PM EST) -- A federal judge has tossed Ford Motor Co.'s $2.6 million suit seeking refunds from the U.S. government for harbor maintenance taxes.

Ford has no real proof that it ever paid the taxes in the first place, Judge Leo M. Gordon of the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled Thursday, granting the government's motion for summary judgment and ending the four-year-old case.
