Iowa Food Co. Says Rival Rigged School Lunch Market

Law360, New York (December 20, 2010, 5:52 PM EST) -- An Iowa food distributor has accused a competitor and a purchasing cooperative of conspiring to create a monopoly in the state's market for school food service.

Hawkeye Foodservice Distribution Inc. filed the action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa on Friday, naming as defendants Martin Brothers Distributing Co. Inc., Iowa Educators Corp. and Daniel Dreyer, who worked for Martin Brothers and is now the director of Iowa Educators.
