Amazon, Travelocity Sued Over Web Browsing Patents

Law360, New York (December 20, 2010, 6:15 PM EST) -- An Austin, Texas-based company has sued Amazon.com Inc., Travelocity.com LP and a number of other online retailers, claiming that elements of the companies' websites infringe its Web browsing technology patents.

Global Sessions LP filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division of Texas, alleging that the retailers have infringed four patents that cover methods for storing and using data generated by customer interactions with a company's website.
