Law360 (January 4, 2011, 12:36 PM EST) -- On Feb. 4, 2011, the U.S. Small Business Administration will launch its long-awaited Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program. The program creates new business opportunities for women-owned small businesses by allowing federal agencies to restrict, or set aside, government contracts for competition among WOSBs. At the outset, the new program will apply to 83 designated industries in which the SBA has determined that women have been historically underrepresented in federal contracting....
