Kroes Shoots Down Arguments Against Unbundling

Law360, New York (March 30, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Responding to criticism of the European Commission’s energy unbundling plans, Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes on Friday pushed her answers to what she called “counter-arguments and myths which are being bandied about.”

“I simply do not accept that there is a ‘balance to be struck’ between competition and energy security. That is just too easy an argument to make,” she told a workshop on energy held in Berlin.
