Fed. Circ. Affirms Tessera Win Over Chip Patent

Law360, New York (December 21, 2010, 5:52 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has upheld a U.S. International Trade Commission ruling that seven companies directly infringe one patent and contributorily infringe a second held by Tessera Inc. that relate to semiconductor chip technology.

A three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday ruled that the ITC's finding was supported by substantial evidence and was not contrary to law.
