Case Spotlights Union Recruiting By E-Mail

Law360, New York (April 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Having heard oral argument last week, the National Labor Relations Board is now set to decide whether employees have the right to use their employers' e-mail systems to spread information about union activities.

Last Tuesday, lawyers for the Register-Guard, a daily newspaper in Eugene, Ore., with a circulation of 70,000, and its union, the Eugene Newspaper Guild, duked it out before the five NLRB board members.
