Judge Nixes Claims, Threatens Stay In Richtek IP War

Law360, New York (January 05, 2011, 5:04 PM ET) -- A federal judge has dismissed a slew of claims from Richtek Technology Corp.'s intellectual property war with its competitors over microchips and asked why the rest of the case should not be suspended in favor of similar litigation in Taiwan.

Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California issued the orders Monday, sacking Richtek's trade secrets allegations against five companies it claimed stole information related to power management integrated circuits.
