JPMorgan Faces Class Action Over Autodial Debt Calls

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 1:12 PM EST) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA and subsidiary Chase Auto Finance Corp. have been hit with a putative class action alleging they breached federal law by using automatic dialing systems to contact cell phone users about vehicle debts without consent.

The named plaintiff in the suit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin said she was repeatedly contacted in the last 12 months on her cell phone about a relative's car loan for which she had no responsibility.
