4th Circ. Cuts Gaston Penalties In SC Spill Suit

Law360, New York (January 5, 2011, 8:10 PM EST) -- The Fourth Circuit affirmed Wednesday that plaintiffs accusing Gaston Copper Recycling Corp. of discharging pollutants in South Carolina waters have standing to sue, but trimmed most of the penalties that led to a $2.3 million fine against the company.
