BP, Others Fight Off Class Cert. In Radiation Suit

Law360, New York (January 6, 2011, 6:19 PM EST) -- A judge has denied class certification in a suit accusing BP America Production Co. and several other companies of negligence related to workers' alleged exposure to radiation during a platform decommissioning project in the Gulf of Mexico.

In a memorandum ruling issued Wednesday, Magistrate Judge C. Michael Hill of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana relied on his earlier findings in a similar putative class action in tossing John Paul DeHart's bid for certification.
