Most Partners Say They Deserve More Money: Survey

Law360, New York (January 10, 2011, 8:23 PM EST) -- Sixty-one percent of partners believe they should be paid more money, according to an attorney search consulting firm’s extensive survey on partner compensation at law firms.

Major Lindsey & Africa LLC’s survey, released Monday, showed that although three-fourths of partners were very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with their compensation, 61 percent felt they should be collecting a bigger paycheck.

Partners who were “very satisfied” with their compensation accounted for 24 percent, and those who were “somewhat satisfied” made up the majority of partners at 52 percent....
