GAO Nixes Protest Of Navy Construction Contracts

Law360, New York (January 11, 2011, 6:11 PM EST) -- A North Carolina construction company has lost its protest of the U.S. Navy's decision not to include it among contractors selected for construction work at U.S. Marine Corps bases in the state.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office denied the protest Friday, rejecting arguments by spurned contractor C.L. Price & Associates Inc. that the Navy improperly evaluated the prices of competing proposals by choosing work plans with “artificially low” and “predatory” price tags.
