AMD Loses Bid To Stay CEO Depositions

Law360, New York (April 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has lost its bid to stay the depositions of its chief executives in a long-running patent infringement spat with rival Tessera Inc. involving semiconductor chip-scale packaging technology.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on March 27 issued an order denying AMD’s petition for a writ of mandamus to direct the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California to issue a protective order conditionally staying the depositions of its CEOs.
