FAA Pushes Updates To Contract, Bid Protest Process

Law360, New York (January 12, 2011, 3:45 PM EST) -- The Federal Aviation Administration unveiled a proposal Wednesday to revamp its rules for bid protests and contract disputes in an effort to streamline the process and put a greater emphasis on early dispute resolution.

The FAA said the proposed revisions, published in the Federal Register, would address gaps in the current rules governing confidentiality, reconsideration requests and sanctions, and that they would clarify procedures for filing and hearing bid protests and contract disputes.
