6th Circ. Tosses Whirlpool Wrongful Termination Suit

Law360, New York (January 12, 2011, 6:49 PM EST) -- The Sixth Circuit tossed a lawsuit Wednesday that accused Whirlpool Corp. of sacking an Ohio supervisor who balked at his superiors' demands that he fire employees trying to organize a union.

The supervisor's lawsuit in state court was precluded by the National Labor Relations Act — and the National Labor Relations Board had already rejected the supervisor's allegations, according to a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
