Solicitor General To Weigh In On Slaughterhouse Case

Law360, New York (January 18, 2011, 7:45 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the acting solicitor general to weigh in on a suit challenging a California law banning the slaughter and inhumane handling of sick and disabled farm animals.

The high court has not yet decided whether to hear the case, which is coming from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
