DC Metro Sues Insurance Adviser Over Coverage Gap

Law360, New York (January 19, 2011, 2:40 PM EST) -- The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has sued Aon Risk Services Inc., saying the insurance adviser failed to recommend policy options that could have saved the agency more than $9 million in the wake of a fatal 2009 rail crash.

Metro's suit, initially filed on Dec. 23 in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Friday, seeks more than $9 million from Aon for breach of contract, negligence and constructive fraud.
