Law360, New York (January 20, 2011, 2:11 PM ET) -- Apple Inc. has opened up a new front in its international patent battle with Nokia Corp., filing suit in a London court to have one of the Finnish smartphone maker's European patents declared invalid.
Apple lodged the complaint Tuesday in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division. The suit seeks a ruling on the validity of one of the seven patents Nokia asserted in September in a separate proceeding in Germany, according to Nokia representative Henna Pelkola.
