Sovereign Loan Officers Sue For Overtime

Law360, New York (January 21, 2011, 12:09 PM EST) -- Sovereign Bank has been hit with a putative collective action claiming it failed to pay loan officers minimum wage and overtime, marking the latest in a string of such cases against banks.

In a complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, named plaintiff Yury Gokhberg said he and other loan officers were the victims of a uniform, companywide policy that denied them due compensation in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
