Cialis Patent Suit Won't Go Before Supreme Court

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 2:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review an appeal brought by three Vanderbilt University professors who claimed they should share ownership of two patents held by Eli Lilly & Co. subsidiary Icos Corp. for erectile dysfunction drug Cialis.

The high court on Monday denied the professors' petition for writ of certiorari, giving no reason for its decision. Lawyers for the parties did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
