Huawei Sues Motorola To Stop Sale To Nokia

Law360, New York (January 24, 2011, 4:25 PM EST) -- Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei Technologies Co. filed suit Monday against Motorola Inc. seeking to halt the sale of the latter's wireless network infrastructure to Nokia Siemens Networks BV, citing concerns about breach of contract and misappropriation of trade secrets.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, claims that Nokia, a direct Huawei competitor, could end up with Huawei trade secrets in the acquisition, thanks to several licensing agreements between Motorola and the Chinese company.
