Retirees Can't Sue Over Enron Losses, JPMorgan Says

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 3:27 PM ET) -- JPMorgan Chase & Co. told the Second Circuit on Tuesday that a proposed class of employee retirement fund participants has no case under federal benefits law for stock losses associated with the bank's risky dealings with Enron Corp.

Jonathan K. Youngwood of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit against the revival of a putative class action brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act over the Enron dealings.
