Judge OKs Dechert Meal Break Settlement

Law360, New York (January 25, 2011, 12:53 PM EST) -- A California judge has granted final approval to the settlement reached by Dechert LLP in a class action that accused the firm of requiring employees to skip meal breaks and not compensating them properly for the time.

Judge Peter J. Busch signed off on the settlement Monday in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, after attorneys disclosed that the payout in the deal would be just over $429,000, according to a docket entry.
