Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 7:20 PM ET) -- A federal judge has affirmed the U.S. Department of Commerce's determination that an Indian steel company did not benefit from a state-sponsored program to subsidize hot-rolled carbon steel flat products.
In an order filed Tuesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, Judge Judith M. Barzilay rejected U.S. Steel Corp.'s challenge to the agency's finding, saying Commerce had rightly reconsidered its initial determination that Essar Steel Ltd. had benefited from the state of Chhattisgarh’s Industrial Program.
