Law360, New York (January 27, 2011, 4:17 PM ET) -- Dechert LLP will help an independent committee of Hewlett-Packard Co. directors investigate the company's separation deal with ex-CEO Mark Hurd, which shareholders claim was wasteful, an HP representative said Thursday.
New York-based Dechert partner Andrew J. Levander will take a lead role on the firm's work on the probe. Levander, who is Dechert's chairman-elect, has represented clients including former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain and Lehman Brothers Holding Inc.'s outside directors.
