Google Nabs House Antitrust Counsel Amid ITA Cloud

Law360, New York (January 31, 2011, 6:06 PM EST) -- Google Inc. has hired Stewart Jeffries, the antitrust counsel for Republican U.S. representatives, as it faces a possible federal challenge to its $700 million acquisition of ITA Software Inc.

Jeffries, who currently serves as majority antitrust counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, will start work at the online search giant on Feb. 7, a company spokesman confirmed Monday.
