Cell Phone Giants Sued By Australian Company

Law360, New York (April 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An Australian patent-holding company on Monday sued a group of cellular phone giants for allegedly stealing digital technology invented more than a decade ago by three Australian scientists.

Western Australia-based QPSX Develeopments 5, better known as Ipernica, filed the patent infringement suit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against eight leading mobile phone suppliers, including Ericsson Inc. and Nokia Inc.
