Court Affirms Award In O2Micro Trade Secret Case

Law360, New York (April 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed a district judge’s decision to award O2Micro International Limited $2.7 million in a patent suit in which O2Micro accused rival Monolithic Power Systems Inc. of misappropriating trade secrets.

Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit upheld U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken’s November 2005 ruling awarding O2Micro $1.8 million in enhanced damages and $900,000 in reasonable royalty damages.
