Commerce Secretary Urges Freer Trade In New Delhi

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 2:48 PM EST) -- U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke urged Indian government officials and industry leaders to lower tariffs and other trade barriers during a luncheon Monday in New Delhi.

Despite significant liberalization of the Indian economy during the past decade and massive economic growth, tariff and nontariff trade barriers continue to scare off many foreign investors, Locke told the business leaders.
