4 Charged In Expert Networking Trading Scheme

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 8:47 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors on Tuesday revealed criminal charges against four hedge fund employees alleged to be involved in trading on technology company inside tips gleaned by way of expert networking firm Primary Global Research LLC.

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara announced the unsealing of a criminal complaint against hedge fund portfolio managers Samir Barai and Donald Longueuil and guilty pleas by former research analyst Jason Pflaum and portfolio manager Noah Freeman, who cooperated in the government's probe.
