Clearwire Director Departs Over Antitrust Worries

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 3:39 PM EST) -- A fourth Sprint Nextel Corp. board member has withdrawn from Clearwire Corp.’s board of directors amid antitrust concerns, fueling rumors of a shakeup between majority shareholder Sprint and its 4G network provider.

In a regulatory filing Monday, Clearwire announced that Frank Ianna will not stand for reelection to the board of directors in order to quell possible antitrust conflicts arising from his position as a director of Sprint Nextel.
