Lexmark Settles With 10 Firms In Ink Cartridge Suits

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 7:27 PM EST) -- Lexmark International Inc. announced Tuesday that it has settled with 10 of the 24 companies it has sued in federal court and in the U.S. International Trade Commission for infringing 21 patents for ink cartridges.

Lexmark said the settling parties have agreed to the entry of a final judgment and permanent injunction in the case currently in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. They also will not oppose Lexmark's attempts to obtain an ITC-ordered ban on the future importation of infringing cartridges,...
