Ex-Tesoro VP Says He Was Fired For Raising Fraud Flag

Law360, New York (February 09, 2011, 2:57 PM ET) -- A former Tesoro Corp. executive has filed a suit alleging the oil company fired him after he reported rampant accounting irregularities and raised concerns about price-fixing at its retail gas stations.

The whistleblower complaint, lodged Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, claims Tesoro axed former Vice President of Pricing Kevin Wallace after he discovered that the oil company embellished its books and risked antitrust violations in its pricing strategies.
