Ex-Real Estate Atty Gets 2 Years For Bank Fraud

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 7:06 PM EST) -- Former Rhode Island state senator and real estate attorney Christopher B. Maselli will spend just over two years in federal prison for bank fraud, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

Judge Mary M. Lisi of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island imposed a 27 month sentence on Maselli, who admitted in November that he falsified documents and lied about his income and assets in order to secure $1.7 million in mortgages in loans.
